JPG, PNG, WebP, SVG, GIF, and browser-readable images.
Use Image Splitter to cut one image into equal rows and columns.
It is useful for grid posts, texture tiles, puzzle-style examples, and layout tests.
Grid posts
Split a designed image into equal tiles.
Large diagrams
Create sections that are easier to inspect.
Texture samples
Cut a source into repeated tiles for testing.
3 x 3 grid
Split a square social image into nine tiles.
Docs diagram
Split a wide screenshot into two or three readable panels.
Limit
Very high tile counts can create many downloads and use more memory.
Using the wrong ratio
Plan the output grid before designing the source image.
Expecting one ZIP file
This lightweight tool downloads individual tiles.
Ignoring edge rounding
Images that do not divide evenly may produce tiles that differ by one pixel.
Grid publishing
Split social or portfolio images into tiles.
Diagram review
Break wide images into smaller panels.
Texture testing
Create tile samples for layout experiments.
Education
Make puzzle or classroom image pieces.
Does Image Splitter upload my image?
The public tool is designed for browser-side processing based on the current implementation. Avoid using sensitive images unless you have reviewed the implementation and your own data requirements.
Will metadata be preserved?
Canvas-based exports usually change or remove metadata. Keep the original file when metadata, color profiles, or exact camera details matter.
Why can a browser image tool fail?
Very large files, unusual formats, limited memory, unsupported browser encoders, or SVG features the browser cannot render can cause failures.
When should I use Image Splitter?
Use it when one source image needs equal image tiles rather than a single resized output.
